We had a meeting today with Insolar, a companythat works to install pv solar panels in the favelas in Rio de Janeiro. We then spent the rest of theday on Copacabana beach.

Day 5- May 14

Today we visited the Sugarcane Trchnology Center where we learned the many uses and research behind sugarcane production in Brazil. We then visited a sugarcane Ethanol production plant. We learned about the Ethanol and Sugar production process, which is the sole of the staple commodities in Brazil.

Day 14 May 23

Today we visited the University of São Paulo at their Institute of Enegy and Environment. They research sustainable energy systems such as photovoltaic solar panels.

Day 17 May 26

We left São Paulo and arrived in Foz do Iguaçu today. We visited the three borders, which is where Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay meet. We are looking forward to our next adventure!
